Darby
Lippincott
Born in Colorado, moved to Seattle in 1997 where she practices part time Veterinary surgery and runs a construction company she started in 1998 - building new homes. Darby started bike racing in 1988 - cycling is her strength. In 2005 she signed up for her first triathlon - Ironman Canada '06. Thinking it might be a good idea to do one triathlon before IMC, she raced Lake Stevens half. In Canada, after crossing the finish line in an elated state - first IM, first run over 13 miles, she signed up again for 2007. Adding a couple more races - Blue Lake oly, Lake Stevens again, and a coach, at IMC 2007 she shaved 51 minutes off her '06 results and came in at 12:15. For 2008, Darby turns the big "4-0" - so has decided to race far away.....Switzerland! She's hoping to run faster than her self-described "Chariots of Fire" slow motion pace, and is looking forward to training with others this season.
